Nigerian songstress Yemi Alade and Tanzanian sensation Ali Kiba will light up this year’s Uganda Entertainment Awards.
The music stars who both will be performing in Uganda for the first time are expected to arrive in the country on Wednesday next week.
They will grace the award ceremony alongside international guests, former Liverpool player Robbie Fowler and Malawian artiste Jaygrin.
Meanwhile, there will also be performances from local artistes including legendary Reggae singer Maddox Sematimba and Dancehall star Ziza Bafana.
Now in their second edition, the awards seek to transform Uganda’s entertainment industry by celebrating the most outstanding stakeholders on a global platform. A total of 47 awards will be given out, including three honorary accolades – Lifetime Achievement Award (Afrigo Band), Humanitarian Award (Angella Katatumba) and the UEA Nobel Award (Pr Robert Kayanja).
The award ceremony will be held at red carpet event slated for Friday, 19th August at the Kampala Serena Hotel. Tickets to the event go for 50K(ordinary), 100K(VIP) and a table at 3 Million.
